ABOUT ME!

Welcome! I consider myself an  oldschoolteach because I have taught for over 27 years! Wow!

Believe it or not, I am still passionate about teaching!  My true passion is  integrating technology into my classroom. Not only does  it help add some “ooomph” to what could be a boring day-to-day job, but it also helps engage my students.
I am a Native New Yorker, now  a Delawarean, but NY will always run through my veins.:) I am an alumnus of SUNY New Paltz and Brooklyn College.
I am the mother of two boys, therefore, a parent and a teacher!
I am the wife of a very wonderful man who tolerates the amount of time I spend on the computer. :) (Well, most of the time)
I am a proud member of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc./Rho chapter.
I  have a lot of opinions, (all of which are my own),and that’s how this baby was born!
Diary of a Public School Teacher is a blog where I share my thoughts about any aspect of the teaching profession.  This is my education journey. It’s not research based, it’s just me living it! Join me on my journey!
I am  a DEN(Discovery Education Network) STAR Educator!

I love writing and I have contributed posts to Free Technology for Teachers, Edudemic, TeachHub, GoAnimate, Edutopia, etc...

  2. I feel a connection with you since the first paragraph of ABOUT sounds like me. Thirty-two years and still passionate about teaching. Love your blog!

  3. Hello, Lisa. I'm not teacher, but I am a big advocate of education. I stumbled upon your blog today and have to tell you how much I enjoy the in-depth perspective you are providing. I also agree that in this day and age, technology and schooling should go hand-in-hand. I am so glad you are doing that.

I especially enjoyed "You Have to Laugh" because I did! Please keep up the good work. Best wishes. www.pamelamcovington.com/blog
